What is an embargoed article?
Answer
In general, an embargo in academic publishing is when the author or publisher withholds availability of an article for various scholarly or legal reasons. There are a range of reasons for this, including but not limited to a pending patent, time-sensitive material, or some other reason. Once an article is embargoed, patrons cannot access the article online until that date has passed. In the mean time, you should search for a different article that is available in the library full-text.
