How do I start searching for articles for my class?

Answer

We recommend that you start by using a Library Guide. At the top of your D2L course homepage, click on "NAU Online Library" (or "Course Materials" and then "NAU Online Library") to find your Subject Guide or Course guide. From the NAU Online Library homepage, click on the Research tab and select Guides to find guides that can assist you in starting your research.

You also could use the OneSearch box on the NAU Online Library homepage. In this box, type a few keywords from your topic. (This search box does not work well with complete sentences.) Then click on the Search button. If you are required to use Scholarly or Peer reviewed articles, click on the Peer Reviewed box at the top of the results page.

This handout explains what scholarly or peer-reviewed articles are and how to find them: Scholarly or Peer-Reviewed Articles.
