How do I find newspaper articles in the library?
Answer
You can find newspaper articles in the NAU Online Library in many of our databases. Start your search by using the OneSearch box on the homepage of the Library: https://national.libguides.com/library Type in several keywords for your search. Example: 2020 election voter fraud. Click on the blue Search button.
In the left column, scroll down to "Limit by Source Type" and check the box for News. This will limit your search to only news items. You may want to write down the dates of the articles before clicking on the links labeled "Full Text Finder." Articles from some newspapers, such as The Washington Post, will require you to choose a date from a list.
You also can search for news articles in the "Nexis Uni" database from the homepage of the library. To the left of the OneSearch box, click on the link to "Nexis Uni." In the middle of the Nexis Uni homepage, you will see a Guided Search. In the "What are you interested in?" box, you will see that "News" is already circled in blue. On the second box, titled "Search in all News for," type some keywords for your search. All of the results are from News sources, but you can limit those sources using the categories in the left column. (Click on the arrow to open each category.)
