How can I find a court case when I don't have a citation?

Answer

You have access to court cases in the NAU Online Library. Go to the list of databases in the NAU Online Library and click on Nexis Uni.

in the middle of the Nexis Uni homepage, you will see "Guided Search."  Under "What are you interested in?" click on Cases.  Which Jurisdiction - click on Federal or State cases. In the "Search in all Cases for" box, type several keywords or topic from your legal research question. Example: You want cases about attorneys who committed misconduct by stealing or commingling client funds. Search South Dakota cases with the phrase (in quotes) "client funds" and the keyword: misconduct. In the list of cases, read the "Overviews" to determine whether the case is relevant to your research.
