How do I find a survey or a questionnaire?

Answer

Some questionnaires or surveys are published within an article in one of our NAU databases. To find them, you can conduct an article search in the databases on your topic and add these keywords: survey or questionnaire.

For example, I did a search from the homepage of the library using OneSearch: https://national.libguides.com/library  I recommend using the "Advanced Search" link directly below the blue box with the word "Search."  You will find a page with three search boxes at the top. In the first box, type your topic.  For example, I typed childcare - the database even offered me some synonyms or related phrases. In the second box, I typed survey or questionnaire.

Review your results - the questionnaire or survey may not be published within the article, so look at the references at the end of the article for the questionnaire or survey or the original article where the instrument was published.

Also review the list of Subjects - below the title and author of each article. If there is a subject that focuses on your topic, then you may want to change your topic search box to a Subject Term search (see the drop down arrow to the right of each search box - change TX All Text to SU Subject Terms.

This type of search works on Google (but not as quite as well) "survey or questionnaire" and childcare.
