Where can I find news articles?

Answer

The NAU Library has three news databases: Nexis UniRegional Business News, and Newspaper Source.  (You must be logged into your NAU email account to use the databases)

Nexis Uni directions: Use the Guided Search in the middle of the page to locate news articles.

  • Click on News
  • In the "Search in all News for" box, type at least two keywords for your topic.
  • Choose a date range. You can limit your search to the past week if you wish or longer periods of time.

In the Regional Business News and the Newspaper Source databases, type a few keywords from your topic in the first search box.  Scroll down to "Publication Date" to limit the publication dates by start month/year and end month/year.

However, you can also find news articles in any of the Library's databases. Go to the homepage of the Library. In the OneSearch box, type in at least two keywords for your topic. In the left column, under the heading "Limit By Source Type," check the box by News.  This will limit the results to news articles.  You also can move the Publication Date slider to the right for more recent news articles.
